About River

Hello and welcome to my blog.

My name is River Jangda and I started blogging in 2011. My purpose is to give advice to young entrepreneurs and those thinking about becoming entrepreneurs in the near future. Typically, this would be the college student who wants to get something started before graduation, the recent grad or young professional who wants to start a company and eventually quit his job, or the dreamer who just hasn’t figured out how to correctly monetize his passion or hustle.

A little bit about me, I graduated from the University of Nevada – Reno in 2013 with a double major in Business Marketing and Business Management. In college my roommate and I started a website selling fanny packs, and it has since grown into one of the largest music festival and party apparel sites on the internet. In the summer of 2013, I moved to Las Vegas to work full-time on my own company, and I also do part-time work as a Startup Consultant for the UNLV Business Startup Center.

I’ve been working with startups, small businesses, entrepreneurs, and students through the Nevada Small Business Development Center and various other organizations since 2010. In this blog, I’ll share startup and entrepreneurship advice, lessons, tips, and personal experiences I’ve had as a young entrepreneur so far. These will come from my experiences in college, starting and running my own business currently, and helping countless others launch their own startups over the last three years.

I’d love to hear your feedback so feel free to comment on my posts, subscribe to the blog, email me, or connect with me over on Twitter or LinkedIn.
